The Diocese of Dumaguete was canonically created on April
5, 1955. It comprises the civil provinces of Siquijor and Negros
Oriental, from Dumaguete City up to Jimalalud in the north,
bounded by the Diocese of San Carlos, and from Bacong
to Kalumboyan and Basay in the south, bounded by the
Diocese of Kabankalan Titular: St. Catherine of Alexandria,
November 25.
