Gospel: John 20:1-2, 11-18
Now, on the first day after the Sabbath, Mary of Magdala came to the tomb early in the morning
while it was still dark, and she saw that the stone blocking the tomb had been moved away.
She ran to Peter, and the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and she said to them, “They have
taken the Lord out of the tomb and we don’t know where they have laid him.”
Gospel: Matthew 13:10-17
Then his disciples came to him and said, “Why do you speak to them in parables?”
Gospel: Matthew 13:1-9
That same day, Jesus left the house and sat down by the lakeside. Many people gathered
around him. So he got into a boat, and sat down, while the crowds stood on the shore; and
he spoke to them in parables about many things.
Gospel: Matthew 12:46-50
While Jesus was talking to the people, his mother and his brothers wanted to speak to him,
and they waited outside. So someone said to him, “Your mother and your brothers are standing

Then, some teachers of the law and some Pharisees spoke up, “Teacher, we want to see a
sign from you.” Jesus answered them, “An evil and unfaithful people want a sign; but no sign
will be given them, except the sign of the prophet Jonah.
Gospel: Luke 10:38-42
As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he entered a village, and a woman called
Martha welcomed him to her house. She had a sister named Mary, who sat down at the Lord’s
feet to listen to his words. Martha, meanwhile, was busy with all the serving, and finally she
said, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do all the work? Tell her to help me!”
Gospel: Matthew 12:14-21
Then the Pharisees went out, and made plans to get rid of Jesus. As Jesus was aware of
their plans, he left that place. Many people followed him, and he cured all who were sick.
But he gave them strict orders not to make him known. In this way, Isaiah’s prophecy was fulfilled:
Gospel: Matthew 12:1-8
It happened that, Jesus was walking through the wheat fields on a Sabbath. His disciples
were hungry; and they began to pick some heads of wheat, to crush and to eat the grain.
When the Pharisees noticed this, they said to Jesus, “Look at your disciples! They are doing
what is prohibited on the Sabbath!”
Gospel: Matthew 11:28-30
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke
upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble of heart; and you will
find rest. For my yoke is easy; and my burden is light.”
Gospel: Matthew 11:25-27
On that occasion, Jesus said, “Father, Lord of heaven and earth, I praise you; because you
have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to simple people.
Yes, Father, this was your gracious will.
