Must reading for everyone interested in human development, spiritual growth, and in the ways they mutually support and benefit each other.
"In this brilliant and convincing book, Sidney Callahan responds positively to the perennial human quest for happiness in this evolving and imperfect world. Her approach is catholic in the fullest sense of the term—skillfully and perceptively bringing together theological, psychological, literary, humanistic, and scientific knowledge as well as personal experience to prove her thesis."
Charles E. Curran, Elizabeth Scurlock University Professor of Human Values, Southern Methodist University
