LECTIO DIVINA:
Read: The Lord calls his children not only to be faithful to Him, but also to lead others to become faithful as well. He holds us accountable for the waywardness of our brothers and sisters.
Reflect: One challenging Christian virtue is compunction. It is the deep sense of guilt when we do something wrong. We are pinched by regret. The Lord, however, demands a deeper sense of guilt, that is, remorse for a brother or sister. When my brother comes home late and is punished by my father, I regret why I have not done anything so that he comes home early. Why have I not looked for him? It is not enough that I follow God’s commandments. I also make sure that my brothers and sisters do the same.
Pray: We pray for all those who, driven by circumstances, live a wayward life and are deprived of the right path.
Act: Check your loved ones who are unguided and living their lives miserably. Show to them how restless you are when you see them in such conditions.
