The author of the present book deserves the reader's gratitude for venturing into new areas of theological reflection, especially so in China with its Christian-catholic history. If the reader goes along the various chapters, he/she will gradually become aware, that the Holy Spirit must have been at work to inspire those great Masters in Chinese cultural-religious history, otherwise, how can the obvious similarity, if not identity, of Ren and Love as the central message of the Biblical Tradition be explained? It is the deep conviction of the author, that the mystery of the Triune God was already at work in the sayings and writings of Chinese ancient wise and also holy men, like Confucius, who is the symbol of those many sages in history until present days, as illustrated attractively by the author. May this precious study of Rev. Fr. Fang Hua help the readers to become more and more aware, that the mystery of God Triune was with China from its beginning and continues its inspiring presence till today and with absolute certainty till the end of China's history, only known to God Triune Himself.
