Description

“The Church is Ecclesia semper reformanda and the Holy Spirit continues to beckon and guide us through reform, change, and renewal… As the whole Church celebrates synodality, I wish that this volume be a timely guide for our pilgrim journey. I congratulate and thank the author and all those who have labored hard towards the writing and publication of this volume. May this work become a precious gift and a blessing to the Church in Asia and beyond” (from the FOREWORD).

H.E. CHARLES CARDINAL BO, SDB, D.D.
President of the Federation of Asian Bishops’ Conferences

“Our Church needs continuing reforms (Ecclesia semper reformanda) because the Spirit, like the wind, blows where it wishes (John 3:8). It is in this light that I recommend the timely book of Dr. José Mario Bautista Maximiano entitled “Church Reforms 2… This book demonstrates how the Church has remained relevant by continually responding to the exigencies of the times” (from the MESSAGE).

VERY REV. FR. ELIAS L. AYUBAN, JR., CMF, J.C.D

“I’ve known our prolific author, Dr. José Mario Bautista Maximiano, since the late 1980s and have become acquainted with some of his works, including his three-volume obra on 500 Years of Christianity in the Philippines. The present book… is the scholarly second volume of the series on Church Reforms. May more and more people be inspired and benefit from this work of yours as they read and enjoy the fruit of your scholarly labor” (from the INTRODUCTION).
