The heart is the center of gravity in man. It is restless, so they say, of reason, of purpose, of true happiness, of love and of immortality. Quench all else and we still thirst. Bloat ourselves with assets and we still hunger. Fill ourselves with illusions and we still look for the truth. Load ourselves with positions and we are still pierced with emptiness. Cravings. There are many, so we thought. But there’s only one — the source, the direction and fulfillment — The Lord God. Cravings of the heart. The world has failed to satisfy us. Only Jesus: the love of the Father. No one but Christ. He is the answer to our quest. The bread to stop the hunger of our heart. He is there to love us, yes, embracing our whole being from within and from without. And our only craving will be to love him even more.
