This handbook on The History of Salvation in the Old Testament: A Journey of Faith aims to provide the readers with a panoramic view of the main characters and events from creation to the time of the Jewish community after the Babylonian exile and to help them discover how God gradually reveals his love to humankind through peoples and events and how humankind responds to such revelation. It invites the readers to join the Israelites in their journey from unbelief to belief, from unfaithfulness to faithfulness to the covenant, from self to God. The history of salvation of the Israelites then is also the story of our salvation. This history of salvation leads us to the mystery of Jesus Christ, the Word made flesh who lived among us.
