About the Author

Cesar Pulido Vallarta, Jr., MA., RN,

Educational background:

  • graduated bachelor of arts in political science with additional units in bachelor of science in psychology at San Sebastian college
  • graduated bachelor of science in nursing at Arellano university and a registered nurse
  • thesis writing completion for master of arts in political science program
  • took philosophy program at the order of friars minor capuchin (ofm, cap) seminary school
  • graduated master of arts in philosophy with distinction award at University of the philippines

Cesar Pulido Vallarta, Jr., fondly known as "bong" (april 05, 1966 – may 15, 2021), was a gifted writer whose life journey left an inspiring mark. Born in manila philippines, he was the eldest son of former Pangasinan mayor Cesar Fontelera Vallarta Sr. and Diana Beltran Pulido Vallarta, retired chief internal auditor of court of appeals, Manila.

From a young age, bong displayed a remarkable talent for crafting words. He diligently filled countless notebooks with prose and poems, expressing his unique perspective on life. His journey wasn't always easy, yet he embraced both personal triumphs and challenges. His early years saw him explore a potential calling in the seminary, where he continuously discover his love for philosophy. He ultimately chose a different path, pursuing further education and earning multiple degrees: ab political science, bs nursing (with a passing board exam), and a master of arts in philosophy with distinction award from the university of the Philippines.

Bong dedicated himself to teaching, sharing his knowledge in various social science programs at universities in manila and laguna. Seeking greater opportunities, he embarked on a new chapter of his life in the united kingdom. He later on resettling in Singapore and United Arab Emirates with his wife Cheryll Aquino Salumbides. In each location, he diligently served as a company nurse and researcher. Tragically, bong's life was cut short in Dubai, UAE, due to covid-19. His passing left an immense void in the hearts of his family and loved ones, including his wife, siblings Doreen, Yvonne, Barry, and Kalya.
