The temptation is always there to water down Jesus’ self-gift in the Eucharist to a mere memorial of himself, rather than to accept him as he really is, in his very self in real life. In this book, the author aims to stress, in the light of much disbelief; a) the real giftedness of Jesus’ love in the Mass and the Blessed Sacrament, and b) with the aid of the Church Fathers, to point out that we can tap into wide sources of spiritual growth by receiving the Lord in Holy Communion.
